RECIPE FOR CHOCOLATE CAKE
Simply the most delicious chocolate cake you've ever tasted....
Ingredients
For the cake:
* 2 fl. flour
* 1/3 fl. cocoa
* 1 tablespoon of baking powder
* ½ cup of sweet soda
* 1 vanilla
* 1 tsp of sweet ginger
* 1 tbsp of sweet cinnamon
* ½ tsp sweet cloves, grated
* 250 gr butter (Lurpak)
* 200 gr couverture
* 1 ½ fl. sugar
* 2/3 fl. milk
* 4 eggs
* 1/3 fl. cognac
For the topping:
* 300 gr couverture
* ½ fl. milk cream
* ½ tablespoon of powdered sugar
* 1 tablespoon cognac
* ½ tbsp butterInstructions
For the cake
1. Put the flour, cocoa, baking soda, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon, cloves in a bowl and mix.
2. Melt the couverture together with the butter, stirring constantly.
3. Remove from the heat and add to the chocolate mixture the sugar, milk, brandy, eggs and finally the flour mixture, mixing until they become a uniform mixture.
4. Preheat the oven to 180°. Butter and flour a 24-26cm baking pan.
5. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 60 minutes.
For the overlay
1. Heat the cream together with the icing sugar until it boils.
2. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate and butter in small pieces, mixing very well until the cream is smooth.
3. Add the cognac and let the cream cool a little.
A few more secrets
If you want the cream to be more liquid, increase the cream. Pour the cream when the dessert is still warm, so the cake stays more liquid inside.
